As an avid student of history, I don't believe that "history repeats itself" while recognizing that there are priceless lessons to be learned from the past. For history is nothing but the mankind's affairs, thoughts, emotions, philosophy and mind, coupled with the inevitable fallacies and shortcomings.

Having a very narrow Zone Of Indifference, I have had (and will try to always have) problems with the authority kind that favors, promotes and enforces the "My Way Or Highway" style of rulling. This, however, does not mean that I advocate unconditional freedom (bedouin democracy) either. Instead, I believe in a system of balance based on trust, empowerment, and accountability (see "A Discussion" in the Writings section.) And speaking of accountability, it should always start with "the man in the mirror."

I also strongly believe that "children are our future" and that we all should "teach them well and let them lead the way". In particular, we should not raise soldiers. That way we can be sure that our children do not kill, or be killed by, the other children.
